Description of Duties:

Usher duties include, but are not limited to:
welcoming and assisting congregants find seats, taking up the offering and tithes, distributing communion, assisting in the event of illness or in need of finding the restrooms. Should there be a disturbance in the sanctuary and a person needs to escorted out, that is our job also.

The hall monitor is just that, a monitor. Able to assist folks looking for Sunday school rooms or the nursery or even the bathroom. Should (God forbid!) a non custodial parent would attempt to remove a child from the classroom or nursery, the monitors assist the Sunday school teacher to prevent that action. As with the ushers, monitors escort a disruptive or ill person as necessary. A walk in the parking lot during service just because the world is full of bad people is not a bad Idea.

Outside greeters facilitate finding Sunday school rooms, nursery and typical welcoming stuff. Greeters need to be on the job outside no later than 9:35 AM and come back inside around 10:10 AM to assist with the regular usher duties.
